Welcome to my website. I represent District 38 in the Minnesota Senate, which includes the communities of Blaine, Dellwood, Centerville, Circle Pines, Hugo, Lexington, Lino Lakes, North Oaks, White Bear Lake, and White Bear Township.

There are competing visions for our state – one puts people first, the other puts government first. I deeply believe in putting people first, because I trust the liberating power of the human spirit. My vision says you should have the freedom to create value in your life.

I will continue to put your needs first, not the needs of a far-reaching government bureaucracy. We must let individuals regain control of their lives and expand opportunities for success. Government should work to serve you, not the other way around.

In the end it’s about your life, your choices and your dreams. My job is to safeguard those things for you, to make it easier, to give everyone a fair shot at living, choosing and pursuing their dreams.

A handful of powerful quasi-government “Big Tech” corporate actors have far too much control over the flow of information, and they have knowingly and willingly discriminated against certain speech. Especially speech based on race, sex, religion, and political ideology. The algorithms they created have penetrated the arena of public ideas in ways we cannot even imagine. They have far too much power to deplatform and silence voices they disagree with.Yesterday the Civil Law Committee heard my bill giving power to individuals to take action to prevent discrimination based on race, sex, religion, or political ideology from happening. It is a simple but important step to protect citizens’ right to speech. ... See MoreSee Less
